Bleaching Slips are made specifically for the individual. These slips have small reservoirs for each tooth to accommodate small quantities of the active gel (Carbamide Peroxide) and fit neatly over the teeth. 

The gel exhausts itself after 2 hours, so you don’t have to worry about leaving the bleaching slips on for too long. Thus the extent of the bleaching is controlled by you the patient.
